Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau –Pu Luong (L, D)
Your 3-day tour begins with a transfer from your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. A limousine bus will take you to Mai Chau with a short break en route.
You will also stop at a local minority market on the Thung Khe pass. This pass is very beautiful with a view over the valley with rice fields and villages.
In the afternoon you will arrive in the valley of Mai Chau where lunch will be served (vegetarian is available).
After lunch, you will visit a local Thai traditional house on stilts before cycling to some villages of the Thai ethnic minority and learning about their daily life and culture. From village to village you cycle between beautiful rice fields with the occasional buffalo on the road.
Stop at the handicraft village to learn about weaving in the traditional way.
At 4:00 PM, the bus will take you to your hotel/homestay in Pu Luong Nature Reserve.
You will arrive around 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM, to check into your room and enjoy the surrounding landscapes or walk around the village to see the rice fields.
Have dinner. Overnight stay at the resort/homestay
Day 2: Pu Luong – Hieu Waterfall full day trip (B, L, D). (Hard Trek 10 km)

After breakfast, it’s time to explore one of Vietnam’s most impressive scenic areas. A car will take you to the start of your trek. With your guide you will walk on small roads through beautiful terraced rice fields and jungle. You will end up at Hieu Waterfall, another beautiful sight. Relax by the waterfall and enjoy your lunch. It is also possible to swim in the waterfall.

At 3:30 PM, a car will take you back to the resort/homestay where you can relax for the rest of the late afternoon.

Day 3: Pu Luong – Hanoi (B, L)

Breakfast from 7:30 am to 8:30 am.
You’ll take a shorter trip on small dirt roads through rice paddies and cross streams to visit a remote rural village of the Black Thai minority. Here you can learn more about the local culture and customs.
The next stop on your trekking is the largest cave in the Pu Luong Nature Reserve called Bar Cave or Doi Cave.
After lunch you will have free time to relax; walk around, swim or visit the local village.
At 2:00 PM, the limousine bus will take you back to Hanoi with a short break on the way.
You will arrive in Hanoi around 7:30 PM where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
